Tuition fees for study abroad and work placements
Check what tuition fees you may need to pay while studying abroad or undertaking an external work placement.
Your tuition fee arrangements depend on your programme, placement type, funding body and academic year. You must tell your funding body that you plan to go abroad and check what tuition fee support you can receive.
Check your tuition fee funding
It is your responsibility to ensure that you inform your funding body of your intention to go abroad or undertake an external work placement.
Your funding body may not fund your full tuition fees while you study or work abroad. You must check with your funding body whether you can receive tuition fee support.
Check tuition fee information
Tuition fees can vary depending on your programme, placement type and academic year.

This additional funding reduces your personal tuition fee liability to £1,430.
You can only receive the reduced tuition fee if you complete the full-year placement. If you take two separate study or work abroad placements during the year, you must complete both placements to keep your eligibility.
If you take a full-year placement, it must last at least seven months. If you withdraw from your placement or shorten it, this will affect your eligibility.
