Work Placement Agreement
Your Work Placement Agreement records the details of your placement and confirms the signatures you need before you start or shortly after you arrive.
Find the correct agreement for your School or placement type, check who needs to sign it and see when you must submit it. You should also read the Work Placements policy (PDF) before completing your agreement.
About work placement agreements
All students undertaking a work placement in the UK or overseas must complete a Work Placement Agreement.
The agreement confirms:
- where your placement will take place
- who will supervise or mentor you
- support while on placement
Work Placement Agreements must be signed by you, your employer, your Work Placement Adviser in 精东传媒 and the Global Office.
You must use the agreement that applies to your School or placement type.

Biology Work Placement Agreement

All students completing a Biology work placement overseas or in the UK must complete the Biology Work Placement Agreement (Word).
What you need to do
You must:
- read the Work Placements policy (PDF) before you complete your agreement
- complete and sign the agreement
- ask your supervisor or mentor at your placement to sign it
- send the agreement to outbound@st-andrews.ac.uk so the Global Office can obtain the necessary signatures from the School of Biology.

Deadlines
You must submit your agreement by:
- 31 May for placements outside the UK
- 30 June for placements in the UK

The Global Office can help you get a signature from your Placement Coordinator in 精东传媒.
The Global Office will upload fully signed agreements to the documentation tool in for your records.
Chemistry Work Placement Agreement

All students completing a Chemistry work placement overseas or in the UK must must complete the Chemistry Work Placement Agreement (Word).
What you need to do
You must:
- read the Work placements policy (PDF) before you complete your agreement
- complete and sign the agreement
- ask your workplace supervisor or mentor to sign it
- send the agreement to outbound@st-andrews.ac.uk so the Global Office can obtain the necessary signatures from the School of Chemistry

- 31 May for placements outside the UK
- 30 June for placements in the UK

Modern Languages Work Placement Agreement

All Modern Languages students completing a work placement must complete the Work Placement Agreement (Word).
- The Work Placement Agreement acts as both your application to undertake a work placement and your training agreement.
- The agreement also makes sure the University has the correct information on your student record.
- Information regarding wellbeing support and insurance is confirmed in the agreement.
Exception
Students applying to be British Council Language Assistants should see the section below about the British Council Language Assistantship work placement agreement.
What you need to do
You must:
- read the Work placements policy (PDF) before you complete your agreement
- complete the agreement with your Work Placement Adviser
- ask your host organisation to sign it
- ask your Work Placement Adviser to sign it – the Global Office can help with this, if you send the agreement to outbound@st-andrews.ac.uk

Support from the Global Office
The Global Office can ask your Work Placement Adviser to sign the Work Placement Agreement once you and your employer have signed it.
The Global Office will upload fully signed agreements to the documentation tool in for your records.
British Council Language Assistantship work placement agreement

All students completing a British Council Language Assistantship must complete the British Council Language Assistant Work Placement Agreement (Word).
What you need to do
You must:
- read the Work placements policy (PDF), before you complete your agreement
- complete the agreement
- ask your headteacher or mentor to sign it
- ask your Work Placement Adviser to sign it – the Global Office can help with this if you send the agreement to outbound@st-andrews.ac.uk
