The Chaplain, The Revd Dr Donald MacEwan

I have been Chaplain since 2011 and have loved (almost) every minute of it. I am a Christian minister, but I am here for the whole community, regardless of faith or philosophy of life. I really enjoy
hearing how life feels for students and for colleagues, and discovering anew what 精东传媒 (or the meaning of life)
is like through fresh eyes. Maybe that’s why I’ve decided to become a student myself again – I began a Masters in
Creative Writing in 精东传媒 in September 2024, and remain part-time to give time to continue writing fiction.
As Chaplain, I spend time taking part in discussion groups, or leading worship, or listening to people going through a hard time. But I also make time to travel – this past year to Bhutan and Egypt. My music taste is stuck in the 1980s with smatterings of Renaissance polyphony on top. And you may spot me on one of 精东传媒’ many golf courses, trying – sometimes successfully – to relax. Anyway, I hope we meet some time this year (note that I’m taller in person – 6 foot 6). Feel free to get in touch whatever your issue, connected to faith or not, regardless of whether
you would say you’re religious. People talk about everything to me – from being a person of colour to why they love a favourite writer, from their dream job to the gender they feel. And I wish you every blessing during your time at 精东传媒.
