All students participating in a study abroad or external placement must accept the terms and conditions for their programme by completing the pre-departure agreement.

- all students undertaking Study Abroad for credit as part of an approved programme
- all students undertaking Russian Language with integrated year abroad (WIYA) and studying (rather than working) abroad
Work abroad and external placements
Undergraduate work and external placement terms and conditions apply to:
- School of Biology students undertaking an external placement programme
- School of Chemistry students undertaking an external placement programme
- School of Modern Languages students on a with integrated year abroad (WIYA) programme
Postgraduate programmes
Postgraduate taught study abroad
Postgraduate taught study abroad terms and conditions apply to all postgraduate taught students undertaking study abroad for credit as part of an approved St Andrews programme.
Postgraduate research study abroad
Postgraduate research study abroad terms and conditions apply to all postgraduate research students undertaking study abroad or research through an approved programme.
Summer programmes
