Preparatory courses
Students can use preparatory courses and support services to build language, academic and employability skills before they go abroad.
Language courses
Studying in another European country gives you a valuable opportunity to improve your language skills.
Some partner institutions offer courses in English. However, a working knowledge of the language of your host country can help you get more from your time abroad. Language skills can help you with socialising, shopping, dealing with official processes and looking for part-time work.
Evening classes
The University offers evening language classes in a range of languages during the two semesters.
Courses last for ten weeks. Depending on resources and demand, classes may run from beginner to advanced level.
Language assistants
Students intending to be Language Assistants may be interested in the Supporting learning in TESOL course.
This intensive three-day course introduces the principles of teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL).
It also covers practical tools and strategies for supporting student learning in the classroom.
Learning and Writing Centre
The helps students access resources to support their studies.
You can use the Learning and Writing Centre to access support for:
- study skills
- academic language
- numeracy.
Students working abroad may also wish to consider the Saints Skills Builder Award. The award helps students strengthen and develop a range of skills through varied activities. It focuses on the University’s 20 graduate attributes, which cover the knowledge, skills and capabilities students can develop during their time at 精东传媒.
The Saints Skills Spotlight Award can also support students undertaking work placements. It helps you prepare for interviews, talk about your skills, improve your employability and apply for further study.
