ABSTRACT. \u2014\u00a0<\/strong>We will discuss two different phenomena of language usage that we have characterized in past work as flexibility<\/i> and tolerance<\/i>. We will examine their relation, or lack thereof, to conceptual engineering and we will apply the distinctions discussed to the specific case of the legal and everyday use of the term \u2018violence\u2019.<\/p>\n
