With Artificial Intelligence becoming ever more deeply embedded in almost every aspect of contemporary life, and surveys suggesting that an ever-increasing majority of students use AI for their studies, are we witnessing the beginning of the endgame for Higher Education and scholarship?聽 Or is this simply another new technology like the calculator or the internet, which we can seamlessly integrate into our teaching and assessment? This session is聽designed as a briefing to introduce colleagues to the basics of聽generative AI, what it is, how it works and what it can be used for.
