This is surprising given the distinction is at the heart of many debates on Leibniz&#8217;s Identity of Indiscernibles and Haecceitism. In the literature, attempts to clarify the qualitative\/non-qualitative divide have all been found wanting. To make matters worse, since the publishing of\u00a0<i>Possible Worlds<\/i>, the use of the qualitative distinction has become more popular. We find it in Diekemper (2009, 2015), Eddon (2011), Locke (2012), Cowling (2015), Hoffmann-Kolls (2019), and Simmons (2020), just to name a few; and yet, we still lack a sound criterion to discern qualitative and non-qualitative properties. Here I attempt to fill this gap.
